He is qualified to do all basic repairs on string instruments such as: opening and closing instruments, repairing tops, backs and rib cracks with studs, shooting fingerboards,
fitting soundposts and bridges, reworking and replacing pegs, bushing pegholes, fitting bass bars, varnish retouching and sound adjustments.
He has also done major repairs such as: making casts, arching corrections, doubling and making new buttons, doubling and/or replacing edges, soundpost patches, rib grafts, replacing blocks, neckgrafts, removing and resetting necks, replacing corners and ebony crowns.
